Turnip28 is a tabletop war game created by Max FitzGerald. The game combines the historical-style that is popular amongst miniature gaming with a weird, muddy, root vegetable-infested dystopia. Yes, it sounds a little odd, but that’s just half the fun of the game!
The Basics
Setting:
A ruined world where everything revolves around turnips (naturally!). The world is stuck in a decaying Napoleonic era where everything is overgrown and a bit grimy.
Minatures:
Players build and paint their own war bands using customised miniatures, that are often 3D printed, or kit bashed from various other model kits to create some weird and wonderful armies.
Turnip28 is popular because it encourages creativity to create strange creatures that are brilliantly absurd.
The game is constantly evolving, and is a perfect choice of game for those who love miniature tabletop gaming but are looking for something a little weird.
Turnip on the Docks, our OP gaming event, that launched back in the summer of 2023 is of course based around Turnip28 and remains the centre of what we do. We generally run two TOTD events each year, and they typically sell out very quickly.
