At Tidewater Events, our mission is simple: to create a space where every player, every choice, and every interaction is valued. Our tabletop gaming community is built on values of inclusivity, respect, and positivity. Here’s what we stand for:

Celebrating Everyone’s Journey

Winning is fun, but the spirit of Tidewater Events is about the journey, not the outcome. We champion the creativity, strategy, and effort each player brings. In our world, “losers” are celebrated as much as winners. Here, everyone is a part of the story.

Pronouns and Identity are Respected, Always

Pronouns are essential to who we are, and at Tidewater Events, we respect them without hesitation. Why? Because they are none of our business. Everyone has the right to be addressed correctly, and to feel seen, both at and away from the table. People may slip up from time-to-time, but we will make every effort we can to make you feel comfortable.

Accessibility and Welcome for All

We are dedicated to making our events accessible to people with disabilities and open to every unique need. If there’s a way to make your experience better, we’re here to listen and to adapt.

  • In a wheelchair? Let us know, and we’ll make sure all your games take place downstairs (where there is access to a disabled toilet).
  • Need a floor plan of the venue? No problem, we can send one over.
  • Prefer music to be low volume? No worries. We can turn it down, if necessary.
  • Have dietary needs? We won’t let you go hungry.
  • Need to sit alone during lunch to re-centre? There is absolutely no pressure here.

Zero Tolerance Policy on Negativity

There is no room at Tidewater Events for bullying, racism, sexism or any behaviour that makes anyone feel uncomfortable. We have a zero-tolerance approach because everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and welcome.

Community-First Approach

Our event space is where connection, camaraderie, and community come first. We’re about building friendships, supporting one another, and making sure that everyone feels at home.

In short, we believe in a world where gaming is not for cliques, but for everyone, and where everyone can feel like they belong.
