What is Scabz?
On moonless nights, when the air is still, vessels from across the Turnip world disappear, sucked down the rusty plughole of death to a forgotten ship’s graveyard far below the world known as the Abyss.
In Scabz, 2-8 players fight ship to ship combat, battling for survival against each other and the terrifying Scab Steam pirate fleets of Swill.
Scabz on the Docks brings all the chaos of Scabz to the East coast. Grab the wheel and pilot your Scab steamer to victory. Or a horrible, horrible death. Either way, make it glorious!
RULES FORMAT:
We’re playing with the most up to date Scabz rules as of April 1st 2025. For reference this is currently the 1.0 Scabz rulebook, along with the Picking Scabz v1 document (specific rules in play will be referenced in the Player Handbook). If this changes we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
NUMBER OF GAMES:
5 – Mixed scenarios.
A player pack with scenario-specific details will be sent out closer to the event.
SIZE OF GAMES:
1 Scab Steamer each, 4 (or more…?) players.
This is a friendly event and we strongly encourage people to bring wacky and enjoyable Scab steamers.
WHAT TO BRING:
- An assembled Scab Steamer. It doesn’t have to be painted, although any sharp edges need to have been filed down so that your Scab steamer is safe to handle. If you do manage to paint it, fantastic! If not, don’t sweat it.
- Dice and a Tape measure
- If you don’t have 3 Torpedo tokens and 4 Blast markers, we will have some available so don’t worry.
HOW THE DAY WILL RUN:
Doors open at 10:00 for player registration, with the aim to start at 10:45 after a quick introductory speech. We’ll break for lunch around 13:00, and announce results at 18:00.
REFUNDS:
We will do our best to help if your circumstances change and you can’t attend. No refund can be processed after 5th April.
