Aetherfest 4: Combined Arms

War. It never changes.
Give people spells or steel, and they will use them to kill each other.
Empires rose, the world burned, and the magic ran dry.
Now only scraps remain… and still they fight.
Because the tools may change.
But War never does…
What is Aetherpunk28?
Aetherpunk28 is a post apocalyptic Wizard skirmish game where colleges of Wizards battle one another in the ruins of their world, fighting over what little magic is left after the end of the world.
From the absolute idiots who brought you Turnip on the Docks, we humbly present the return of AETHERFEST, the world’s largest Aetherpunk28 event!
Aetherfest brings the magical chaos of Haggerland to the East coast. Join the search for Erudite, fix your wand bayonets, and be ready.
TICKETS & WIZARDLY GARB:
At one of the earliest tidewater events, we ran a pre-order for t-shirts. We’ve been asked several times since, if we’d be bringing t-shirts back. Our answer was always, “When the stars are right…” before throwing a smoke bomb at the ground and beating a crafty retreat. Well, wait no longer!
We’ve made 10 combo tickets available, as well as 10 standard tickets (for those of you who refuse to succumb to fomo), as we have to adjust quantities manually – if the combo tickets are sold out, give us a nudge and we’ll adjust quantities. We’ll send out an email asking for shirt sizes when the preorder ends (31st March), so that we can get them all ordered in time for you to collect them on the day. Shirts are available in male or female S to XXL.
Anyone who preorders a t-shirt and wears it on the day gets +1 dice.
RULES & FORMAT:
All colleges in the most recent version of the rulebook, as well as all previously released Spellbound Gazettes will be valid for use.
Aetherfest 4 will be running a little differently to previous games, so make sure you read the player pack thoroughly!
NUMBER OF GAMES:
4 games.
This will consist of 1 game, followed by a meeting with your general, who will assign you to a battleground for your second, third and fourth games. If the timer stops and a game is still ongoing, then the current player can finish their current activation. The opponent is then allowed to activate one model. If there is nothing left to activate, then the game ends.
SIZE OF GAMES:
Each player must bring a 75 shilling combined arms list according to the player pack. This is a friendly event and we strongly encourage people to bring enjoyable lists. This will NOT be a competitive environment.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bring your college, fully assembled. If it’s painted, that’s a bonus, but no stress!
Accessories – Dice, tokens (as required), tape measure and army rules.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you print a copy of your college’s rules and spells on a separate piece of A4 (as well as filling out a roster sheet), to save time flicking through the rulebook during gameplay.
HOW THE DAY WILL RUN:
Doors open at 10:00 for player registration, with the aim to start at 10:45 after a quick introductory speech. We’ll break for lunch around 13:00, and announce results at 18:00.
REFUNDS:
We will do our best to help if your circumstances change and you can’t attend. No refund can be processed after 11th April.
