DESCRIPTION:Along a dried up stretch of river\, somewhere in the east of Cist\, lies a dilapidated fishing town named Grim.\nOnce a shining jewel of Cist\, now its only exports are salty bones from the marsh and rowdy songs about fish and piss. \nThe inhabitants of Grim are locked in a perpetual war with their neighbours in nearby Cleg; a war waged primarily through lazily hurled insults. And the occasional gnarled carrot.\n\nDare you attempt to seek your fortune in the ruins of Grim?\nGather your compatriots\, and raise your wretched regiments in reverence to the root! \nWhat is Turnip28? \nTurnip28 is a post-apocalyptic vegetable wargame. Players command Regiments of fantastic miniatures made up of incompetent Snobs\, bedraggled Followers and bizarre war machines. You will weep\, you will cheer\, as deranged peasants kick each other to death in the mud. \nTurnip on the Docks returns to bring all the chaos of Turnip28 to the East coast. Join the march\, fix bayonets\, and be ready. \nRULES FORMAT: \nWe’re playing with the most up to date Turnip rules as at 1st August 2025. If this changes we’ll let you know as soon as possible. \nNUMBER OF GAMES: \n5 – Mixed scenarios. \nA player pack with scenario-specific details will be sent out closer to the event. \nSIZE OF GAMES: \n1 Toff and 2 Toadies as per Core Rulebook. Cults allowed (and encouraged!). \nThis is a friendly event and we strongly encourage people to bring wacky and enjoyable lists. \nWHAT TO BRING: \n– An assembled army. We aren’t asking for show armies. If it’s assembled\, based and looks kind of turnipy\, we’ll accept it. Paint is a bonus! \n– Dice\, Tape measures and your army rules. \nHOW THE DAY WILL RUN: \nDoors open at 10:00 for player registration\, with the aim to start at 10:45 after a quick introductory speech. We’ll break for lunch around 13:00\, and announce results at 18:00. \nREFUNDS: \nWe will do our best to help if your circumstances change and you can’t attend. No refund can be processed after 20th August.
